Transport Canada Licensing

We fly within the legal limit of Transport Canada

We respect all regulations for both public and private property. With our license we can be ready at short notice and fly virtually anywhere. This way we can easily put amazing immersive footage at your fingertips whether it’s for web marketing, commercial, industrial, real estate or even the big screen. Just beautiful resolution and vivid colors with an integrated and stabilized camera.

Eye in the Sky Custom Aerial Photography has recently completed the new Transport Canada Licensing requirements for thier Advanced Operations of their RPV aircraft. The term RPV (Remotely Piloted Vehicle) is now the more formal descriptor for the light, remotely controlled aircraft more commonly referred to as drones or UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) by the general public.

Under the new licensing requirements everyone must pass both a written and practical exam under the supervision of a certified Transport Canada examiner. Herman successfully completed this by the June 1, 2019 deadline to ensure seamless operations for existing and future clientele.

More information on Canadian regulations and licensing requirements can be found on Transport Canada’s web site here: www.tc.gc.ca/

With the new rules and with the new license, Eye in the Sky can continue to operate in all class G airspace and can also continue to submit authorization requests for sites that fall within class C airspace, which is within closer vicinity to airports.
