Barrie’s Lakeshore Drive Re-alignment

In late summer 2015 the City of Barrie re-aligned Lakeshore drive to allow for an expansion of its beautiful Centennial Park. The park is frequented in the summer by beach goers, joggers, swimmers and boaters. This also removes an unnecessary 90 degree corner in the road that brought it very close to the marina and boardwalk.

The new Lakeshore Drive allows for better traffic flow and more room for all of the above activities. Eye in the Sky Photography has photographed many changes to the Barrie landscape over the years, this being another significant one.
